Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party posted a manga comic on its website aimed at 18-year-olds, featuring a high school girl who decides to vote as a way of attracting the attention of a boy she likes. The comic was criticized as sexist on social media. Credit Shiryu Nakatake

Occupy Comics: Art + Stories Inspired by Occupy Wall Street by Matt Pizzolo — Kickstarter

Occupy Comics: Art + Stories Inspired by Occupy Wall Street by Matt Pizzolo — Kickstarter.  Picked up a copy of this book in a Victoria comic book store last week.  Very fine work.  Wonder if there are plans to create more.  Also, wondering where the almost $30k that this kickstarter project raised went to after all?  Maybe something on the Black Mask publisher website has a clue…  Would definitely use this comic in class.
