Jonathan B. Fisher, 85, of South Sandy Hill Road, Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011, of natural causes at his daughter’s home in Witmer after a short illness.

He was the husband of the late Mary Esh Fisher, who died in 1991.

He was the son of the late Amos S. and Fannie Beiler Fisher.

A farmer and woodworker, Mr. Fisher was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are eight children: Salomie, married to Henry Glick of Howard; Amos, married to Anna Glick Fisher of Mill Hall; Fannie Ruth, married to John Speicher of Witmer; Samuel, married to Naomi Riehl Fisher of Bird-in-Hand; Mary Ann, married to Gideon Zook of Gap; Sadie Ann, married to John Stoltzfus, and Isaac, married to Mary Lou Nissley Fisher, both of Coatesville; and Anna Mae Fisher of Chester. Also surviving are 47 grandchildren; 144 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Annie Beiler of Paradise, Katie Blank of Kinzers, and Ruth, married to Abner King of Rebersburg; and two brothers, Andrew, married to Ruth Fisher of New Holland, and Isaac, married to Amanda Fisher of East Earl.

A son, Jonathan J. Fisher; two grandchildren, Sarann Stoltzfus and Olen Fisher; brothers, Jacob and Amos; and a sister, Mary Stoltzfus, preceded him in death.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7, at the late home (201 S. Sandy Hill Road) with interment following in Buena Vista Cemetery.

Viewing will be held at the late home from the time of this notice until the service.
